DOREL GOLAN
 

Considered as the most exciting pianist among the younger generation of Israeli musicians.
Currently a graduate student of Prof. Arie Vardi at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music.
Since 1992 she has been a recipient of the America - Israel Culture Foundation Prizes.

Dorel Golan was awarded First Prizes at the Marsala International Piano Competition in Italy, the Clairmont Competition, the Ariana Katz Competition, the Rubin Competition and the first "Best Young Pianist" Prize at the Bremen International Piano Competition.

Dorel Golan performed with all the major orchestras in Israel, including the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, the Israel Camerata Orchestra, the Haifa Symphony Orchestra, the Rishon Lezion Symphony Orchestra, the Beer Sheba Sinfonietta, the Israel Kibbutz Orchestra, the Raanana Sinfonette Orchestra, the Israel Chamber Orchestra, the Young Philharmonic orchestra and other orchestras in Israel. She performed with orchestras in South Africa, Argentina, China, Hong Kong, India, Bulgaria, Rumania, Spain, Norway, Poland, Lithuania, Slovenia and lately in St. Petersburg with the local orchestra and has been reinvited to play with the same orchestra at the Bolshoi Hall in Moscow. Among many other orchestras, she was soloist with the Moscow Orchestra in Moscow, with the Ukraine National Symphony at the Philharmonia Hall in Kiev, the Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Czeck Philharmonic Orchestra, Prague Philharmonic, Budapest Symphony Orchestra, Bremen Philharmonic Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra of Columbia, I Musici de Montreal, Quebec Symphony Orchestra and at the Berlin Philarmony with the Berliner Sinfoniker.Dorel played in various festivals in USA, Latvia, Croatia, Russia and Germany, including the Ruhr Klavier Festival.
In 2006 she performed in the Israel Festival in Jerusalem and was reinvited to open the 2009 Festival with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.

She appeared successfully in recitals at Sala Verdi in Milan, Salle Cortot in Paris, the Vienna Town Hall, the Tivoli Hall in Copenhagen, the Rudolfinum Hall in Prague, the Hong Kong Arts Centre, at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and other important centers.
Her recitals and concerts were broadcasted and recorded by numerous stations around the world.
